Electrical Works Specialist Job Description

This role involves working as a key team member to ensure timely and safe completion of electrical works in designated units.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Works Specialist who can work collaboratively with the project team to identify clashes, optimize resource utilization, and establish proper execution sequences.

Responsibilities:
  • Track availability and allocation of manpower and resources across designated units.
  • Conduct thorough studies of project standards, specifications, drawings, and 3D models to identify potential issues.
  • Prepare rolling quarterly look-ahead plans for electrical materials, including monthly and weekly micro-plans in consultation with project control engineers and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Necessary: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Necessary: 6-8 years of experience for Degree holders, 14-16 years of experience for Diploma holders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, statutory requirements, codes, and standards (IS, IEC, IE Rules).
  • Understanding of equipment and material costs, hazardous area classification, protection coordination, power, earthing, lighting layouts, and good engineering practices.
  • Expertise in motor starting schemes, DG, UPS system schemes, cable sizing and selection, electrical safety, site testing and commissioning methodologies, and power sources.
  • Familiarity with instrument requirements, such as MCT blocks, I/O interface, safety interlocks for compressors and large pumps, and F/G interlocks.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical SLDs, layout drawings, and design documents.
About the Role:
