Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level accounting professional to lead various financial initiatives.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced accounting leader with a strong background in finance and a passion for numbers. The ideal candidate will have experience at both a public company and a major accounting firm, as well as a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting data, preparing complex accruals and journal entries, and maintaining and balancing accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects, proposing solutions to management and other affected departments, and working with partners to generate various accruals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare complex accruals, journal entries, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
  • Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
  • Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects
  • Evaluate business issues that impact the general ledger and assess solutions
  • Propose solutions to management and other affected departments
  • Work with partners to generate various accruals
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring financial policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for external audit and various ad hoc and special projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements to help reduce time to close and improve upon accuracy of underlying accounting records
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial processes
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification
  • 6+ years accounting experience in Big 4 companies or US MNC
  • Corporate accounting and GL close experience
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Demonstrable experience analyzing and interpreting financial transactions and issues
  • Experience in statutory audit and audit assurance services
  • Proven leadership skills, combined with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • A customer-service-oriented approach, with high standards for integrity and ethics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Self-starter approach, paired with a passion for collaboration and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications:
