Integration Specialist Job Description

Job description:

A Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining integration solutions using Microsoft Biztalk Server. They work closely with the business stakeholders, project managers, and other IT teams to understand the requirements and create high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop integration solutions using BizTalk Server, ensuring seamless data exchange between systems
  • Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and processes, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate systems and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing integration solutions, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to industry standards

Skills Required:

  • Strong experience in developing integration solutions using Microsoft Biztalk Server, with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Expertise in Biztalk Server administration and deployment tools, ensuring smooth implementation and management of integration solutions
  • Excellent understanding of integration architecture patterns and principles, enabling effective design and development of integration solutions
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and other integration technologies, facilitating data transformation and exchange
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational databases, ensuring seamless data exchange and storage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling identification and resolution of complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, facilitating effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred, but not required
  • Microsoft certifications in Biztalk Server development are a plus, but not essential
