Functional Consultant Job Description

As a D365 functional consultant, you will possess in-depth knowledge of the D365 product suite and its advanced tools. You will lead Solution Design sessions, assist with configuration, data migration deliverables, interface design documents, and functional design documents. Additionally, you will troubleshoot customizations and ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Strong Customer Relationships
  • Utilize expertise in business processes and best practices to advise customers during pre-implementation consulting engagements such as Requirements Gathering, Fit Gap Assessments, Design, and Configuration.
  • Lead client workshops on business processes, business requirements, and system design.
  • Conduct business and systems analysis and documentation.
  • Design and analyze product functionality gaps to standard product capabilities.
  • Produce comprehensive design, system, user, and procedural documentation.
  • Configure and set up applications.
  • Provide system training to both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver robust solutions on time, performing thorough testing.
  • Design and execute data migration strategies.
  • Offer go-live and post-live support.
  • Possess excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrate capacity to plan, prioritize, and organize project schedules and multiple project activities.
  • Identify and analyze risks and issues for program or project portfolios in conjunction with project managers.
  • Apply systematic and logical thinking to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes, and anticipate implications.
  • Develop and test detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes.
  • Create development specifications and interact with customers to test modifications and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Participate in data migrations, integrations, report design, and security design.
