Key Responsibilities for an Event Catering Operations Supervisor:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences, including menu selection, logistics, and staffing.
  • Develop and execute catering plans to meet client expectations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for food and equipment procurement, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Supervise and train catering staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow during events.
  • Motivate and guide staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Address any issues related to food quality or service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Address client concerns and feedback effectively.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction with the catering service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in outdoor catering or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues and make decisions effectively.
  • Understanding of service standards and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
