We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Category Manager to drive growth for a new home decor brand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for product sourcing, development, merchandising, and go-to-market execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing products that meet consumer needs and preferences.
  • Working closely with design teams to conceptualize and launch new product lines.
  • Managing the product lifecycle from concept to pricing, launch, and phase-out planning.
  • Analyzing sales performance, consumer behavior, and market trends to inform category planning decisions.
  • Developing pricing, product positioning, and promotions strategies to meet revenue and margin targets.
  • Contributing to annual category planning and innovation pipelines.
  • Tracking key business metrics such as revenue, margins, and product contribution.
  • Using data insights to optimize product mix and improve performance across D2C and offline/online channels.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in category management, merchandising, brand management, or product marketing.
  • Prior experience in home decor, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • Strong analytical mindset and proficiency in Excel, dashboards, and market research tools.
  • Sound commercial and pricing strategy understanding.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
