
Home Decor Brand Product Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to support the growth of our home decor brand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving product sourcing, development, and go-to-market execution. Your primary goal will be to coordinate with design, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure timely product launches while supporting revenue and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify product gaps and consumer needs to develop a relevant and competitive assortment.
- Work with design teams to conceptualize and launch new SKUs aligned with brand identity and trends.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to pricing, launch, and phase-out planning.
Category Strategy & Growth:
As a Category Manager, you will analyze sales performance, consumer behavior, and market trends to support category planning. You will recommend pricing, product positioning, and promotions to meet revenue and margin targets. Additionally, you will assist in building innovation pipelines and contribute to annual category planning.
Business Performance Management:
You will track key business metrics such as revenue, margins, and product contribution. Using data insights, you will optimize product mix and improve performance across D2C and offline/online channels. Furthermore, you will work with sales and demand planning teams to drive forecast accuracy and inventory health.
Brand & Marketing Collaboration:
As a Category Manager, you will collaborate with marketing and brand teams on campaign calendars and go-to-market strategies. You will support seasonal launches, influencer campaigns, and content planning. Moreover, you will ensure product messaging aligns with category goals and brand objectives.
Product Execution:
Coordinate with supply chain, packaging, finance, and digital teams to ensure smooth product execution. Resolve operational challenges and ensure on-time delivery of category initiatives. Maintain clear communication across departments for seamless project execution.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in category management, merchandising, brand management, or product marketing.
- Prior experience in home decor, lifestyle, or consumer brands is essential.
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable with Excel, dashboards, and market research tools.
- Sound commercial and pricing strategy understanding.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
