Job Description

The Security Managed Services Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the Firewall infrastructure remains operational for clients.

As a key member of our team, your primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. Your day will involve proactively identifying, investigating, and routing incidents to correct resolver groups.

One of your main responsibilities will be to assess and manage Data Protection breaches under the direction of the Senior Manager, Data Breaches and Issues. You will work collaboratively with members of the Information Rights team and other units as needed.

Additionally, you will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), customer Run Books, and standard processes to ensure a globally consistent delivery. This may involve proposing changes and improvements to these standards.

Furthermore, you will utilize and document best practices, amend existing documentation as required, and ensure usage of knowledge articles in incident diagnosis and resolution.

Your expertise will be utilized in security incident handling and response from several vectors including End Point Protection and Enterprise Detection and response tools, attack analysis, malware analysis, network forensics, computer forensics, and LAN technologies.

You will also be responsible for performing defined tasks to inform and monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintain records of relevant information.

Other responsibilities include taking backups for all SOC devices on a daily basis and moving the backup to external storage, firewall policy optimization & fine tuning based on the Algosec firewall analyser, maintaining the firewall policy security rating above 95%, performing version upgradation, patch update & SOC device restoration.
