Job Title: NRM/Agroforestry Specialist

Key Role:

As an NRM/Agroforestry Specialist, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing environmentally sound restoration and agroforestry interventions that promote sustainable livelihoods.

This position ensures natural resource management priorities are fully integrated into value chain strategies, driving impactful results across the board.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical aspects of agroforestry and restoration activities, from value chain scoping to solution development.
  • Support the design of field survey protocols and selection of focal species.
  • Provide expert advice on technical interventions and capacity-building materials.
  • Participate actively in stakeholder consultations and fieldwork, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Contribute to the drafting and delivery of comprehensive project reports, highlighting key achievements and lessons learned.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

A Master's or Diploma in Environmental Science, Forestry, or Natural Resource Management is mandatory.

8 years of professional experience in natural resources management, agroforestry, and nature-based businesses are required.

5 years of experience in agroforestry and nature-based value chains are also necessary.

2 years of total experience in value chain-related projects in India are desired.

  • In-depth knowledge of agroforestry and natural resource management.
  • Strong field research and technical reporting abilities.
  • Ability to design restoration activities and community-centric interventions.
