Product Innovation Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Product Innovation Director to lead our Lending Lab initiative, focusing on developing innovative lending products and solutions.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in entrepreneurship and innovation leadership, with expertise in building 0→1 products in startup environments. They will be responsible for driving product strategy, working closely with senior leaders across product, engineering, and marketing teams, and ensuring that our innovations align with our long-term mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Direct and motivate high-caliber innovation teams to develop early-stage prototypes, conduct user testing, and validate new ideas.
  • Innovation Frameworks: Define review, success, and transfer criteria for experiments, ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient learning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work seamlessly with executive teams to ensure alignment of Lending Lab efforts with Branch's overall objectives and technical capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial Leadership: 5+ years of experience in entrepreneurship and/or innovation leadership, ideally with experience building 0→1 products in startup or venture environments.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of experimentation frameworks and lean product development, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and data scientists.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate without micromanaging.
  • Resourcefulness: Ability to do more with less, with experience working on lean teams that have had a significant impact.
