Job Title: Data Privacy Manager

Location: Mumbai Hybrid

  • Experience Required: 4 to 10 Years

We are seeking a seasoned Data Privacy professional to join our Cyber & Risk practice as Deputy Manager / Manager.

The role involves leading and executing data privacy engagements, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations, and embedding privacy-by-design into client processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage data privacy projects across industries, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, PDPB/DPDP Act, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.).
  2. Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  3. Design, review, and enhance privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  4. Implement and monitor privacy controls, including data subject rights, consent management, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
  5. Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure privacy compliance in technology and business processes.
  6. Drive awareness sessions and training programs on data privacy and protection.
  7. Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients on privacy risks, compliance gaps, and remediation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in data privacy, information security, or compliance.
  2. Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, DPDP Act, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.).
  3. Hands-on experience with privacy audits, assessments, and compliance programs.
  4. Exposure to ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other privacy/security frameworks.
  5. Ability to manage client engagements, lead teams, and deliver projects within timelines.
  6. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  1. CIPT / CIPP-E / CISM / CISA or equivalent privacy/security certifications.
  2. ISO 27701 Implementer / Lead Auditor is an advantage.
