Job Title:

Chief Financial Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Strategist to drive strategic financial initiatives and provide critical insights to our executive leadership team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and maintain comprehensive SaaS metrics reporting including ARR, churn, LTV/CAC, and unit economics.
  • You will partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to analyze performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • You will prepare monthly board packages and present financial results to executive leadership.
  • You will build financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and investment prioritization.
  • You will lead variance analysis and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • You will support fundraising activities with investor materials and financial due diligence.

Requirements:

  • You have 5-10 years of FP&A experience, with 3+ years in SaaS/subscription businesses.
  • You have a deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV/CAC, cohort analysis).
  • You have advanced Excel/Google Sheets and SQL skills.
  • You have experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, and BI tools (Tableau/Looker preferred).
  • You have strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have an MBA or CFA designation.
  • You have experience at high-growth SaaS companies ($10M-$100M ARR).
  • You have familiarity with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
  • You have experience with planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.).
  • You have Python/R programming skills.
  • You can overlap with EST / PST timezones.
