Job Title

QA Automation Engineer at MSBC Group plays a key role in shaping the future of financial technology by creating and executing test cases to ensure software systems meet functional and technical requirements.

About This Job

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work on creating and executing automated tests for new system software versions. You will be responsible for testing functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance, and regression testing on trading and financial applications.

  • Test new system software versions using automated testing tools for functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance and regression testing on trading and financial applications.
  • Create, maintain and update test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.
  • Reporting and managing software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss issues and report on the status of testing.
  • Follow QA standards and policies.
  • Provide estimates to help QA management produce an accurate schedule.
  • Support Product Management group to test various business scenarios and verify functionality to be implemented.
  • Release management – maintenance of application versions and facilitation of version upgrades in all environments.

  • Fixed income and/or derivatives market knowledge.
Technical Skills

The following technical skills are required:

  • In-depth knowledge of OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and Test Case Management Tools.
  • Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to assure the quality of a functional domain.
  • Ability to create new test cases based on requirements documents and guidance from the Product and Development teams.
  • Translate existing manual regression test cases into automated UFT tests.
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial products, e.g. FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, etc…
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++) is a plus.
