Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a deep focus on Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires hands-on experience with key GCP services and a proven ability to deliver high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development:
    • Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python.
    • Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
  • Architecture & Optimization:
    • Architect and implement data warehouse and data lake solutions on BigQuery.
    • Optimize queries and data processes for performance and cost efficiency.
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing data pipelines and infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Core Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
    • Proven experience with Python for data manipulation and scripting.
    • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and other key GCP data services.
    • Expertise in building ETL/ELT data pipelines.
    • Proficiency with SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Cloud Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Knowledge of other GCP services like Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Vertex AI.
