Regional Sales Manager for India Market

Cognex is looking for a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expansion in the India market. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales organization in industrial automation, leveraging your expertise in sales leadership, commercial landscape, and Cognex technology to achieve revenue goals.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling into organizations where engineering is a key decision maker, and will be able to closely collaborate with supporting functional teams. They will also have experience designing territories and allocating resources to maximize bookings, recruiting top sales talent, and maintaining and enhancing Cognex culture.

  • Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve annual sales plans
  • Leads a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets
  • Coordinates cross-functional execution of the business with supporting functional teams
  • Supports Sales Directors and Sales Vice Presidents in preparing for the financial budgeting process
  • Improves understanding of industry requirements, competitive threats and the opportunity landscape through collaboration with Product Marketing teams
  • Maximizes bookings by designing territories and allocating resources effectively
  • Recruits and develops high-potential internal talent
  • Maintains and enhances Cognex culture

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and 10-20 years of equivalent work experience, with at least 10 years of experience leading a high-performing sales organization in industrial automation or similar field.
