Senior Financial Accountant

The role of Senior Financial Accountant is a key position in our organization, requiring a high level of expertise and experience in financial management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Coordinate vendor payments, refunds, and reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Update supplier reconciliation portals to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Work with clients to obtain missing vendor bills and approvals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare weekly AP reports, process vendor payments, and allocate in books, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Review vendor reconciliations performed by junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Obtain W9 forms from vendors and prepare 1099 workings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Perform tax return reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Review sales entries on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Examine sales tax and prompt tax working files, preparing use tax calculations as required.
  • Prepare CRT, TPT, and 8027 tax returns, as well as other county tax returns, ensuring timely submission.
  • Reconcile balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond to emails within 48 hours, maintaining open communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Deliver AP reports to clients on time, meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Meet internal month-end closing deadlines, ensuring timely completion of financial tasks.
  • Train new team members and assist them in settling into their roles, promoting a smooth transition.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and systems, maintaining a high level of quality and integrity.
Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) degree, with a strong focus on accounting and finance.
