This role presents an extraordinary opportunity to spearhead the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA applications across diverse manufacturing operations.

As a visionary system architect, you will be responsible for crafting real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions that harmonize with enterprise IT systems.

A key aspect of this position involves ensuring seamless integration between OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES, and enterprise IT systems, databases, and cloud platforms.

Strong proficiency in secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols is essential.

Furthermore, expertise in managing industrial databases, such as SQL, historian, and timeseries databases, for high availability and performance is required.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to synchronize system capabilities with production and business objectives.

Additionally, this role demands strong technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.

Effective troubleshooting, optimization, and support of existing SCADA/MES deployments to minimize downtime are also crucial responsibilities.

Finally, you will mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

With a proven track record of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry, combined with expertise in Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, and scripting module configuration and project deployment, you will excel in this role.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards: ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms: Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation/Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications: Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
