Job Overview

  • The role of a Stress Engineer involves the application of theoretical and practical knowledge to analyze and optimize aircraft structures under various load conditions.

About this Job

  • Achieve stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft components using established methods such as classical, ISAMI, GFEM, and DFEM.
  • Extract relevant data from drawings, including loads, stresses, material properties, geometry details, and fastener specifications.
  • Apply static design values from industry standards to ensure structural integrity.
  • Develop and refine Finite Element Models (FEMs) based on geometric data.
  • Conduct sizing analyses of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements.
  • Analyze fastener loads and perform detailed joint analysis to determine Reserve Factors (RF) for failure modes like:
  • Strength
  • Buckling (Column & Panel)
  • Shear panel failure
  • Implement mitigations for low RF using classical or numerical methods.
  • Create stress certification packages, including ACD4 and SSR reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
