Key Job Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to collaborate with the asset management team in overseeing day-to-day workflows related to existing assets. Key responsibilities include monitoring and analysing cash flows, tracking and analysing asset performance, managing risk, and coordinating with third-party partners.

  • Portfolio Onboarding: Track and summarise reporting, prepare analytics, communicate status, process, and asset level activity to various groups.
  • Collaborate with the asset management team and external business partners in facilitating and reviewing performance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties on lender reporting, loan covenant monitoring, and compliance with credit agreements.
  • Outline key terms in credit and purchase agreements.
  • Execute operational efficiencies and information flow enhancements with both internal and external teams.
  • Work with internal/external teams to manage funding and distribution activities.
  • Real Estate Technology Project Management: Collaborate with the client's technology team and consultants on high-priority real estate technology implementation initiatives.
  • Review financial statement reconciliation and resolve mapping discrepancies to ensure that generated financial statements reflect deal activity and performance.
  • Determine the need for new trial balance accounts where necessary.
  • Assist in managing third-party workflows.
  • Utilize a dynamic portfolio management tool to analyse standardized financial statements, key performance metrics, and partner reporting on a recurring basis.
  • Review budget-to-actual outputs from the real estate portfolio management tool.
  • Monitor partner reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires sound experience in asset management or related fields (6-8 years). Strong accounting knowledge, particularly US GAAP & IFRS, combined with advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills, is essential. Additionally, strong financial and analytical skills, as well as a developed understanding of key investment performance drivers, are required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. They should also be able to cultivate trust and build partnerships with different counterparts, while possessing training and mentoring capabilities for junior team members.

Advantageous Skills

A background in third-party databases such as Yardi, Argus, CoStar, Real Page, Bloomberg, Alteryx, Tableau, etc., would be advantageous. Hands-on experience with VBA macros is also beneficial.

Academic Requirements

CPA/CFA/MBA or equivalent qualification in accounting and finance from a reputable institution is preferred.
