Project Manager Role

The successful candidate will provide project management and logistical support to a team of corporate volunteers who offer pro bono consulting services to local social sector organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and select potential host client organizations and develop Scope of Works for intervention areas requested by clients.
  • Support clients in preparing for volunteer arrivals and ensuring stakeholder meetings are arranged.
  • Participate in conference calls with volunteers before arrival.
  • Advise and guide volunteers on Scope of Work delivery.
  • Serve as the interface between our organization and partner organizations, including regular correspondence with staff and stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial and final program reports.

Logistics:

  • Assist in procuring accommodations and transportation for volunteers.
  • Coordinate program launch and closing events.
  • Prepare guides for project volunteers.
  • Orient new volunteers upon arrival.
  • Manage travel logistics for volunteers.
  • Act as a resource for volunteers and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Monitor and advise on security arrangements.

Requirements:

  1. Must be based in Shivamogga with area familiarity.
  2. College degree in project management or related field.
  3. Minimum 5-10 years of experience.
  4. Exceptional writing and communications skills.
  5. Ability to conduct Gap and SWOT analysis and develop consulting Scopes of Work.
  6. Experience working with cross-cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteering programs.
  7. Ability to multi-task and manage diverse tasks.
  8. Flexible and able to work in a team and individually.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Fluent in English with fluency in Kannada a plus.
  11. Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
