Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated STEM Educator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality workshops and courses for teachers in STEM subjects using progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies.
  • Create capacity building program plans in STEM and provide inputs for the academic calendar.
  • Coordinate with subject teams to plan and execute STEM programs, analyzing feedback from teachers and training participants.
  • Provide strategic direction for the STEM program, aligning it with current educational policies and guidelines.

Content Development:

  • Design detailed program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules based on background research of national and international reference materials.
  • Develop program materials for short-term and intensive courses, strengthening resources with subject-specific content.
  • Regularly update developed resources through action research, primary or secondary research, or academic reading and writing.

Research and Development:

  • Develop research-based content and instructions to achieve workshop goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training need assessments, baseline and end-line assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Conceptualize, design, and conduct research studies to enhance program quality and effectiveness.

School Visits and Direct Intervention:

  • Observe classroom sessions at various schools to understand program impact.
  • Plan and provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools, engaging with a cohort of teachers.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document and report progress on allocated tasks.
  • Prepare and submit training reports, classroom observation reports, events, and other reports.

Other Activities:

  • Collaborate with teachers, team members, and other stakeholders to perform assigned tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to annual reports, newsletters, and other publications, planning and coordinating events organized by the team.
  • Participate in staff development activities and workshops relevant to the subject team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in teaching and education.
  • Strong knowledge of STEM subjects and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
