Product Design Leadership Opportunity

The role involves overseeing the academic department for Product design (industrial design) and driving the development of programs that align with the institution's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for Product design (industrial design) programs to ensure relevance and industry standards are met.

  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional growth.

  • Evaluate program curriculum regularly to guarantee alignment with industry demands.

  • Collaborate with other departments within the design school and beyond to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.

  • Oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with relevant teams.

  • Plan department resources effectively for discussions and approvals.

  • Bring industry experts for academe engagements like teaching, master classes, conferences/symposiums, and design festivals.

  • Be well-versed with UGC, NAAC, and other relevant processes and documentations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
