Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ocean Freight Manager to oversee ocean operations in the West region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing ocean freight operations effectively, ensuring compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all ocean freight operations (FCL, LCL, imports, exports) in the West region, driving process improvements and digitalization to enhance service reliability.
  • Develop strong relationships with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendors to secure competitive procurement rates and optimal space allocation.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to support business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and expand market share in key trade lanes.
  • Monitor regional performance through KPIs (transit times, documentation accuracy, operational efficiency) and take corrective action to address any issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the regional ocean operations team, fostering engagement, capability building, and performance delivery.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have minimum 10-12 years of relevant working experience in the logistics industry in a similar capacity with regional or P&L responsibilities.
