Senior Assurance Manager Job Description

The Compliance Assurance team is responsible for ensuring that business practices are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

This Senior Assurance Manager role plays a critical part in this effort, significantly contributing to the design, development, implementation, and execution of assurance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of financial regulation, including anti-money laundering, countering terrorism regulations, and consumer protection.
  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and execution of assurance testing for regions, lead issue validation activities with stakeholders, and report to senior management.
  • Develop meaningful tests to determine control design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
  • Perform operational deep dives to understand and find gaps in compliance-related processes and services.
  • Identify and assess inherent and residual risks related to control deficiencies.
  • Work with compliance office personnel, legal departments, and technology partners to identify deficiencies in internal controls and operational processes and identify root causes of issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing best practices in effective and innovative ways.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of audit or assurance experience.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of internal audit or assurance experience with a clear focus on regulatory compliance.
