Compliance Specialist Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable statutory and regulatory labour laws. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of central and state labour laws, as well as sector-specific compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing compliance audits, inspections, and liaising with regulatory authorities. Additionally, they will be detail-oriented with excellent documentation and audit readiness skills.

The Compliance Specialist will oversee state-wise compliance requirements and filings across locations. They will also conduct onboarding checks for statutory forms and declarations, address employee PF-related queries, and ensure real-time tracking and closure of compliance deliverables.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will interpret and implement HR compliance guidelines issued by IRDAI, RBI, and SEBI. They will maintain awareness of new and changing regulatory mandates affecting HR operations and workforce governance.

The Compliance Specialist will ensure documentation and records are maintained as per the requirements of sector regulators. They will also coordinate and support internal, external, and regulatory audits for HR data, PI data, and vendor data.

In addition, the successful candidate will ensure state-wise minimum wages audit, holiday calendar review and publishing, and mandatory displays are up-to-date at all locations. They will also coordinate with regional PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF offices for issue resolution and documentation requirements.

The Compliance Specialist will handle labour inspections and respond to regulatory notices in collaboration with Legal and Admin teams. They will escalate potential compliance lapses and support corrective actions.

The role requires a Graduate/Postgraduate in Human Resources, Labour Law, or related field, with additional certification in labour law or statutory compliance being preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in HR compliance, preferably in a regulated industry (financial services, fintech, or insurance).
