We are seeking a skilled backend engineer to join our mission-driven team. As a system thinker with expertise in backend engineering and architecture, you will play a key role in shaping the backbone of consumer and partner experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust backend components, APIs, and integrations that power services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect data flows across multiple systems, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
  • Develop and optimize search, vector search, and ranking systems for product intelligence and AI-powered interfaces.
  • Work with containerization, serverless environments, CDNs, and WAFs to ensure flexibility and scalability.
  • Implement data regulations and compliance measures for GDPR and other relevant frameworks.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and system architecture.
  • Strong grasp of data flows, infrastructure, and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, backend/frontend integration, and secrets hygiene.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, caching, object storage, and streaming systems.
  • Containerisation, serverless environments, CDNs, and WAFs expertise.
