Job Description

As a deputy manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine availability during each shift. Your primary goal is to effectively resolve maintenance issues and manage small-scale improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to daily and weekly PM checks to guarantee smooth site operations.
  • Ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, track, plan, and complete missed maintenance activities.
  • Manage the maintenance team to ensure machine availability in each shift.
  • Optimise equipment to the required level of working and quality of output.
  • Ensure routine calibration of instrumentation.
  • Manage the introduction of new machinery to full installation in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Stay current and up-to-date on any changes affecting machinery functionality and advise the plant head of any impact.
  • Manage contractors on-site to ensure they deliver required services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education Qualifications:

  • B.Tech/B.E./Mechanical

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to manage cross-functional team members.
  • Excellent organisational and follow-up skills.
  • Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
  • Cost-conscious.
  • Plant-level experience in managing maintenance in chemical plants primarily handling mechanical mixing of materials like sealants or similar viscous materials.
  • Technical capability and understanding.
