AI Development Engineer

About this role:

We're seeking an AI development engineer to join our team. As an AI development engineer, you will work on building and integrating artificial intelligence into our products.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain AI-powered features that meet our business needs. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

You will be responsible for translating raw model capability into lean, reliable, and user-ready features. This includes working on Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, building agentic clients, architecting RAG pipelines, and automating LLM evaluations.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and Develop AI-Powered Features: Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop AI-powered features that meet our business needs.
  2. Build MCP Servers and Agentic Clients: Build MCP servers and agentic clients that handle user intent parsing, tool orchestration, and structured response generation.
  3. Architect Efficient RAG Pipelines: Architect efficient RAG pipelines with chunk decay, latency budgeting, and cost-aware vector search.
  4. Automate Evaluation Pipelines: Automate evaluation pipelines that test LLM outputs for relevance, accuracy, and coherence.
  5. Codify and Deploy Infrastructure: Work closely with DevOps to codify and deploy infrastructure using CDK or Terraform.
  6. Set up Observability Dashboards: Set up observability dashboards for prompt performance, latency, and failure traceability.
Requirements
  1. 5–8 Years of Full-Stack or Backend Development Experience: You should have 5–8 years of full-stack or backend development experience, with at least 1 year building AI-powered or LLM-based applications.
  2. AI-Native Mindset: You should have an AI-native mindset: test fast, trace deeply, pause to reframe when needed.
  3. Strong Python and TypeScript Skills: You should have strong Python and TypeScript skills.
  4. Experience with Cloud Platforms: You should have experience with either AWS or GCP stacks, such as AWS Lambda, Bedrock, DynamoDB, OpenSearch Vector Search, or GCP Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, Firestore, BigQuery, Vector Search.
  5. Familiarity with LangChain and Vector Database Schema Design: You should have familiarity with LangChain, Bedrock SDK, and vector database schema design.
  6. Prompt Design and Embeddings Understanding: You should have understanding of prompt design, embeddings, and agentic workflows.
  7. CI/CD Fluency: You should have CI/CD fluency, including GitHub Actions, containerized deployment, and test-first habits.
  8. LLM Evaluation Tools: You should have experience with LLM evaluation tools like Promptfoo, LangSmith, or Guardrails.
