Job Title:

Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Systems

Description:

The Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Systems will be accountable for overseeing and ensuring seamless operations of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT systems at our institution. This includes responsibility for Salesforce CRM & Admissions, Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Library Management System, Financial ERP, HRMS, and other mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Management & Operations:
    • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise systems (deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization).
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative systems.
    • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for system-related problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
    • Act as the primary liaison with system vendors and service providers.
    • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance:
    • Define and execute the system roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
    • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
    • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
    • Lead and mentor the system support team at campus level.
    • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and ensure quality service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration & Data Management:
    • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
    • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
    • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
    • Around 15 years of progressive experience in IT system management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
    • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
    • Strong experience in system integration, vendor management, and IT governance.
    • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
