Job Title:

Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced financial operations professional to oversee the planning, reporting, and budgeting functions of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensure timely management information system (MIS) reporting, variance analysis, and financial projections.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in alignment with business objectives, monitor actual performance against budgets, and provide actionable insights.
  • Project Accounting & Control: Supervise accounting for construction projects including work-in-progress (WIP), billing, subcontractor accounts, and material reconciliations, ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies specific to construction contracts.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, liaison with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities, implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Treasury & Fund Management: Manage cash flow requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects, maintain relationships with banks for working capital, term loans, and bank guarantee/letter of credit facilities, monitor interest costs and optimize fund utilization.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the finance team across multiple project sites, build capabilities for financial discipline at the site and corporate levels, ensure timely closure of accounts at headquarters and site levels.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / Master's in Business Administration (Finance)
  • Experience: 12–18 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the construction industry
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning/accounting systems - SAP preferred

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting standards (IFRS/AS-7, revenue recognition, WIP, etc.)
  • Expertise in taxation, statutory compliances, and financial controls
  • Proven ability to manage project costing, billing cycles, and subcontractor accounts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Leadership, team management, and effective communication abilities
