Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing budget reports, and conducting financial analyses to inform business decisions. Additionally, they will provide guidance and support to colleagues on financial matters, and contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the general ledger, account payable, accounts receivable, cash book, and fixed asset register
  2. Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and wages
  3. Manage GST registration and returns
  4. Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare monthly profit and loss statements
  5. Develop and implement cost accounting systems
  6. Prepare daily management reports
  7. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in senior accounting roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
