Academic Leader for Industrial Design

We are seeking a forward-thinking Academic Dean to spearhead our Product Design (Industrial Design) program.

About the Position:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in industrial design and exceptional leadership skills.
  • S/he will develop and implement curriculum that aligns with our university's mission and vision.
  • Responsibilities include supervising faculty members, conducting evaluations of program curriculum, and collaborating with other departments.
  • S/he will oversee student recruitment efforts, plan department budgets effectively, and ensure compliance with UGC, NAAC, and other processes.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience, including 5 years in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
