Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Linux Systems Expert to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux Administration, with a strong focus on system performance, security, and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure, identifying potential issues, and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Linux Administration: The successful candidate will have expertise in LVM concepts, including FS creation, extension, and troubleshooting. They should also be familiar with multipath concepts, such as validating multipath, adding LUNs, and enabling multipath.
  2. Performance Optimization: Our ideal candidate will ensure that system performance specifications are met, evaluating and correcting OS vulnerabilities through patching. They should also be able to coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware and OS-level issues.
  3. Log Management and Security: The selected candidate will be responsible for log rotation, managing file system usage, changing permissions/ownership, and implementing changes as per application and DB team requirements at the OS level.
  4. Service Management: They will be expected to manage services such as NTP, SSH, AUTOFS, and fix server access and bootable issues, including fixing GRUB.
  5. OS Troubleshooting: The candidate will be responsible for OS-level troubleshooting in bringing up servers and performing OS migrations.
