Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer - Disaster Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team as a Disaster Recovery Specialist. In this role, you will design and implement best practices for disaster recovery activities, administer Azure services, manage diverse services on the Azure cloud platform, and perform server administration in both Windows and Linux.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Azure Services Administration:
    • You will expertly administer Azure services, managing diverse services on the Azure cloud platform, and perform server administration in both Windows and Linux.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
    • You will design and implement best practices for disaster recovery activities, ensuring seamless continuity of operations during unexpected events.
  • Azure Monitor and Log Analytics:
    • You will configure and integrate Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to monitor and manage application performance and security, providing insights for data-driven decision making.
  • Azure Active Directory Management:
    • You will administer Azure Active Directory services, ensuring secure identity and access management across platforms, protecting against potential security threats.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • You will implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform Templates for automated provisioning and deployment, reducing manual errors and improving efficiency.
  • Containerization and Orchestration:
    • You will utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications, streamlining development and deployment processes.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • You will automate operational processes using PowerShell and Azure CLI for efficient management of Azure systems, freeing up time for strategic initiatives.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • You will implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures, mitigating risks and protecting sensitive data.
  • Database Management:
    • You will manage and optimize Azure SQL or Cosmos DB, ensuring high availability and performance tuning, supporting business growth and scalability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields is required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud services and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
  • Certification:
    • PREFERRED AZ-400 Azure DevOps Engineer Professional certification.

Must-Have:

  • Expertise in Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Load Balancer, DNS, Traffic Manager, Virtual Network.
  • Expertise in Disaster Recovery activities. The process of DR from VM.
  • Server administration in both Windows and Linux.
  • Azure Automation State Configuration, Azure Resource Manager, Automanage Machine Configuration.
  • Application Insights, VM Insights, Container Insights, Storage Insights, Network Insights.
  • Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, Azure Active Directory.

Nice-to-Have:
