Halal Compliance Specialist

In this key role, you will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance in the halal industry.

About the Role

This position is critical to the success of our business, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for maintaining, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HALAL and Kosher documents.

  • Maintain and review SOPs for HALAL and Kosher documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare schedules for training on the Halal Management System and deliver trainings accordingly.
  • Coordinate Halal system audits for various departments and conduct audits as per schedule.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Halal Team members and communicate with regulatory authorities for updates and implementation.
  • E nsure all materials used in production are sourced from certified Halal and Kosher vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date Halal and Kosher certificates at site and complete documentation for the Halal Management System.
  • Ensure good sanitation and cleaning procedures are followed in production areas.
  • Investigate failures in the Halal system and support QC Lab as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all halal-related processes and procedures adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
  2. Providing Training and Support: Prepare and deliver training sessions on the Halal Management System, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  3. Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with regulatory authorities, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and efficient communication.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this challenging role, you must have a strong background in halal compliance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in halal compliance or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of halal regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
