We are seeking a skilled UAV Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aircraft design, aerodynamics, CAD modeling, and systems integration. Aerial Vehicle System Design is a critical aspect of this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and contributing to the conceptual and detailed design of UAV airframes and sub-systems. This includes performing aerodynamic analysis and optimization of UAV configurations, designing structural components and assemblies using advanced composite and lightweight materials, and developing detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

The UAV Design Engineer will work closely with electronics, propulsion, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration. Conducting structural and thermal analysis (FEA, CFD) to validate design performance is also an essential part of this role.

The selected candidate will participate in UAV prototyping, assembly, ground testing, and flight trials. Documenting design processes, BOMs, and supporting regulatory compliance for airworthiness is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in UAV or aircraft design (internship experience may be considered for junior roles).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural design.
  • Experience with composite materials and UAV fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with flight testing and UAV system integration is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, XFOIL, Fluent, etc.) is desirable.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience designing VTOL, hybrid, or long-endurance UAV platforms.
  • Familiarity with autopilot systems (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot) and avionics integration is plus.
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks (DGCA, FAA Part 107, etc.).
  • Knowledge of electric propulsion systems and battery technologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
