Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to manage our financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy.

About the Role:
  • Financial Transaction Management: Enter financial data into accounting software, including invoices, payments, expenses and journal entries.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable processes, including recording supplier invoices, processing payments and reconciling vendor accounts.
  • Collections and Cash Flow: Monitor customer invoices, follow up on overdue payments and manage collections as necessary.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll transactions, including employee salary payments, deductions and statutory contributions.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, superannuation requirements and other payroll-related obligations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial reports using accounting software, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles, with proficiency in using MYOB accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Australian tax regulations, BAS GST requirements and payroll processing.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
