Key Roles and Responsibilities

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a seasoned Principal SQA Engineer with experience in validating core networking, security features & solution testing in the SD-WAN team.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end product validation. Their primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with PMs, TMEs, Customer Support teams to understand customer needs and develop targeted solutions
  • Designing and executing comprehensive test plans for enterprise-scale SD-WAN solutions
  • Developing and maintaining complex networking testbeds using automation frameworks like Python and RestAPI's
  • Performing system-level validation through manual and automated testing methods
Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 10-18 years of relevant industry experience, with a degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise in standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF & EIGRP, MPLS, IPSec, QoS, NAT, and policies etc.
  • Experience with System, Solution, Scale, Performance, interoperability, and failover testing of SD-WAN solutions
  • Proficiency in using traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), protocol analyzers (Wireshark), and monitoring tools
  • Expertise with Automation/Programming using Python and RestAPI's
  • Ability to design and implement test frameworks, environments, and automation for system-level validation
