Quality Assurance Engineering Leadership

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the quality assurance process and ensure that all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, reporting to QA manager for continuous feedback and improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product architecture and functionality to ensure good quality feature delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of quality processes on every release.
  • Take complete ownership of release deliverables and multitask while mentoring junior engineers.
  • Develop QA artifacts such as test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
  • Document and track defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and configure test environments, including software installations and configurations.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to find defects that might not be covered by test cases.
  • Deploy microservices applications in the Engineering environment and support SRE teams for production releases.
  • Improve processes for test plan reviews and ensure thoroughness of test scenarios.
  • Assist in troubleshooting customer issues and provide root cause analysis when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in functional and automating testing of SAAS products and leading teams of 3-5 engineers.
  • Experience on public or private Cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Certification in one of these Cloud platforms is a significant advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications.
  • Experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Functional UI and API automation expertise.
  • Linux knowledge is essential.
  • Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Oracle DB is a plus.
