Electrical Design Engineer Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of auxiliary power systems for equipment and HVDC stations.

  • Design, develop, and implement MVS, LVS, Diesel Generator, Auxiliary Distribution Transformer, battery system, and other auxiliary power system components to meet project requirements
  • Create and maintain SLDs, list of loads, load list feeder lists, and estimate material and equipment sizing activities to ensure accurate project planning and execution
  • Cable sizing for LV, MV, and other distribution networks is essential to guarantee the reliable operation of electrical systems

This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and applicable standards used within the technical field of the department. Additionally, knowledge of process structuring and process management is necessary to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in the design of auxiliary power for substation, power plant, oil and gas, and HVDC environments
  • Proficiency in Eplan or Elecdes, NX, Teamcenter, and PLM Tools is highly desirable
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel, and ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
