Job Title: Sr. Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our Geotechnical domain for a large-scale open pit mine operation with a complex geological setting.

The successful candidate will be accountable for conducting Geotechnical studies, preparing pre-feasibility and feasibility reports, stability analysis, simulation modelling, and implementing the scheme derived from the simulation models.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage entire activities in the Geotechnical domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise Geotechnical activities for the open pit mine operation.
  • Conduct Geotechnical studies and prepare reports on stability analysis, simulation modelling, and slope stabilization.
  • Develop and implement schemes derived from simulation models to improve mine operation efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of Geotechnical activities.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Geological Science, Geology, Applied Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geotechnical Engineer/Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Geotechnical engineering with a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Geotechnical principles, including stability analysis, simulation modelling, and slope stabilization.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
