Job Title: Chief Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engineering policies to ensure consistency and best practices across all resorts.
  • Lead capital expenditure projects, including renovations and new builds, to maintain high-quality facilities and guest satisfaction.
  • Set benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for property-level engineering teams to measure performance and drive improvement.
Maintenance & Operations
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system functionality.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, to provide a comfortable and safe environment for guests.
  • Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues swiftly and effectively, minimizing disruption to operations.
Energy & Sustainability
  • Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and lower costs.
  • Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties to avoid fines and penalties.
  • Conduct audits and mitigate risks proactively to protect the company and its reputation.
Team Development & Management
  • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement to drive excellence in engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are preferred but not required.
  • 15+ years of experience in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities to inspire and motivate engineering teams.
  • Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools to manage and maintain complex infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills to collaborate with stakeholders and make informed decisions.
