Assistant Art Director Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Art Director to spearhead our visual identity across various platforms. This visionary leader will define and evolve the visual language for our brand, fostering a culture of excellence in design.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine the visual narrative for all our properties.
  • Oversee design efforts across web, social media, editorial, motion graphics, events, and emerging formats.
  • Leverage creative AI tools to integrate Gen-AI into concepting, style-frames, motion pre-viz, and rapid prototyping.
  • Promote exceptional video and motion by partnering with our video team to craft cinematic title cards, lower thirds, and data-driven infographics.
  • Streamline excellence through scalable design systems, asset libraries, and AI prompts that enhance quality without compromising speed.
  • Mentor and grow graphic designers, motion artists, and freelancers, instilling a culture of critique and craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate effectively with Editorial, Marketing, Events, and Product teams to ensure every touchpoint feels distinctly ours.
Requirements:
  • 6–10 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in media, digital publishing, or agency environments.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (Ps, Ai, Id, Ae), Figma; bonus points for Blender/C4D, Unreal, or 3-D prototyping apps.
  • AI fluency: proven use of Gen-AI image/video tools for ideation or production; ability to write, refine, and share effective prompt libraries.
  • Visual mastery: expert eye for typography, color, layout, motion, data-viz & brand systems.
  • Storytelling & strategy: see the narrative thread behind every pixel and can sell the concept in the boardroom.
  • Soft-power traits: tastemaker, strategic thinker, detail-obsessive, feedback-giver, boundary-pusher, builder of legacy, not just assets.
