To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong skills in garment design, fashion illustration, and technical sketching
  • Experience in fabric selection, textile knowledge, and material sourcing
  • Trend research and mood board creation skills
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • A bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field
  • Prior experience in the fashion industry is a plus
