EDI Consultant Role

As an EDI consultant, you will play a key role in configuring and maintaining EDI solutions using IBM Sterling. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring seamless electronic data interchange with business partners.

  • Configure EDI Solutions: Utilize IBM Sterling to establish EDI connections with trading partners.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with order management teams to integrate EDI processes for efficient order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.
  • Manage EDI Mapping: Develop and maintain EDI mappings, translation processes, and communication protocols with trading partners.
  • Onboard EDI Connections: Collaborate with customers and external partners to onboard, test, and maintain EDI connections.
  • Resolve EDI Issues: Identify and resolve transmission errors, mapping discrepancies, and communication failures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of EDI standards, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and industry-specific transaction sets.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and their integration with EDI processes.
