Job Title:

Sr Business Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Business Database Administrator to join our team.

This is a senior role that involves administering multiple Oracle and SQL server databases spread across locations in a distributed environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have experience with database administration and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide user support (24x7) and problem escalation to the corporate team and third parties as appropriate.
  • Identify and resolve database-related issues, conduct period health checks on DBs, and formulate new requirements after taking inputs from implementation and support teams.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports, provide data setup support for QA and Dev environment, master data maintenance, monitor and administer report queues, and monitor and administer golden gate replication routines.
  • Troubleshoot DB issues, identify bottlenecks, and try to resolve them.

Coordination with Vendor:

  • Coordinate with vendor about any new patches with respect to DB as well as applications, new requirement and bugs within specified timeline.

Knowledge Transfer:

  • Provide technical training to peers and subordinates within the IT department.

Release Deployment:

  • Test product patches released by Vendor and track the issues till closure.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing for new features/functionalities added in HIS and related systems.
  • Go-live support post deployment of new features.

Following Departmental Processes:

  • Maintain the tracker of issues reported on day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain approval records.
  • Perform any other duties given by the reporting manager.
