Job Title: Hydraulic Modelling Engineer

 

  • Create hydraulic models to simulate wastewater network systems, ensuring efficient and effective management of wastewater infrastructure.

 

  • Develop and calibrate hydraulic models using software tools, such as InfoWorks ICM and QGIS, to optimize system performance and inform design decisions.

 

  • Conduct system performance analysis, development assessment, and operational scenario planning using hydraulic models and other relevant tools.

 

  • Prepare comprehensive reports on modelling projects for review and presentation to clients, showcasing findings and recommendations.

 

  • Collaborate with junior and senior colleagues in India and Australia to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables and achieve project goals.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different team members and across cross-cultural teams.

 

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex ideas and technical information.

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

 

  • Proficiency in software tools, including InfoWorks ICM, QGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.

 

  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field, with postgraduate studies in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferred.

 

  • Member of a professional body, such as CIWEM or ICE, is desirable but not essential.

 

Experience:
  • 2-8 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure projects.

 

  • Skilled in hydraulic model build, verification, and calibration using hydraulic modelling tools.

 

  • Experience in designing sewer water network designs for planned layouts and developments.

 

  • Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred, but at least 2 years of experience in overseas (UK/US/ME) Water and Wet Utilities projects is required.
