Job Overview

The Associate - Outsourced Accountant oversees end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and client relationship management. This role drives operational excellence, client satisfaction, and process efficiency across multiple client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounting operations, including AP, AR, journal entries, and payroll journals.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, according to GAAP or IFRS.
  • Execute bank reconciliations, process transactions, and apply credit memos for effective cash management.
  • Monitor and report on aging of AR and AP ledgers to optimize working capital and support collections and payments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for accurate payroll processing, AP/AR management, and tax filings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, updates, and timely resolution of accounting-related queries.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through quality service and responsiveness.
  • Identify and implement automation or workflow improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in accounting operations.
  • Mentor and support accounting team members to maintain service quality and foster skill development.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary financial documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience

An experienced professional with 3-5 years of outsourced accounting roles, highly preferred with CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualifications.

  • Solid understanding and application of US GAAP accounting standards and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of QBO, Xero, Bill.com, Yardi, Net-suite, Intacct, Expensify & Concur.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, enabling collaboration with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and adhere to deadlines.
