Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to lead the development and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure for our Biopharma sector clients. As a seasoned expert in Python scripting and automation, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence within our DevOps team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of AWS DevOps Engineers in designing, deploying, and managing highly efficient and reliable cloud infrastructures using industry-leading best practices and standards.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automating application deployments, testing, and monitoring, with a focus on the unique requirements of the Biopharma domain.
  • Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to integrate applications seamlessly into the cloud environment, addressing complex challenges related to data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and reliability, swiftly addressing any issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance for Biopharma applications and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems related to infrastructure, networking, and application deployments in the context of the Biopharma sector.
  • Enforce and enhance security best practices across the cloud environment, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry regulations in the Biopharma domain.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize the cloud infrastructure to achieve cost efficiency and superior performance, considering the specialized needs of Biopharma applications.
  • Implement automation for manual processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors, while addressing specific requirements of the Biopharma sector.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices, evaluating their relevance to our infrastructure and Biopharma applications.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to incorporate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle within the Biopharma context.
  • Oversee system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations in the Biopharma sector.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to various teams within the organization, particularly in relation to Biopharma projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Proven leadership experience, leading and guiding teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Extensive knowledge of automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms (EKS, ECS).
  • Thorough understanding of a wide range of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Strong background in networking concepts, security best practices, and data protection mechanisms.
  • Proven experience in database management and administration in AWS environments.
  • Experience or familiarity with the Biopharma sector, its unique data and application requirements, and regulatory compliance considerations is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • AWS certifications, particularly AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits:
