US Tax Manager Position

About the Role:

This senior-level position plays a critical role in driving business growth through strategic tax planning, while ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and state tax laws. The successful candidate will lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and Review Complex Tax Returns: Develop and implement efficient processes for preparing complex federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041).
  • Manage and Supervise Tax Staff: Lead a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead Tax Planning Strategies: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.
  • Research and Provide Solutions: Stay up-to-date on complex tax issues and provide innovative solutions to clients.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain deep knowledge of IRS and state tax regulations to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Cultivate Client Relationships: Communicate effectively with clients, fostering strong professional relationships.
Requirements:
  • CPA or EA Certification: Mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Advanced Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in US taxation, with expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing and mentoring teams is essential.
  • Tax Expertise: Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and US tax law.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in US tax software, such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or equivalent.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills are required.
